Save Money by Replacing your Furnace with a New High Efficiency Furnace
Heating and air conditioning systems are the biggest users of energy in the home. These systems consist to up to 75% of your utility bill. A new high-efficiency furnace, however, can save you up to 50% in operating costs over a ten-year-old furnace.

A new furnace should last at least 15-20 years. While the price of a government mandated minimum efficiency furnace might at first seem less expensive - you ultimately save many times over the difference in initial cost by purchasing a furnace with Stevens.

Heat Pumps

Stevens offers heat pumps, fan coils and controls (thermostats) from several of the world's leading manufacturers.

Heat pumps offer one of the most energy-efficient ways to provide heating and cooling in many applications, as they can use renewable heat sources in our surroundings. Even at temperatures we consider to be cold--air, ground and water contain useful heat that's continuously replenished by the sun. By applying a little more energy, a heat pump can raise the temperature of this heat energy to the level needed. A heat pump looks just like an air conditioner, but it does double duty, acting as a heater in the winter and an air conditioner in the summer.

Heat pumps are rated in SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor). SEER and HSPF ratings are like miles per gallon rating of automobiles. Higher SEER and HSPF ratings mean greater energy savings.

Boilers

Over the years, boiler (hydronic) hot water heating has been used in the best comfort systems in a wide range of new and traditional homes. Hydronic heating is a method of heating that uses hot water or steam instead of air. With hydronic heat, you get two types of heat delivery: radiant heat and convected heat. Radiant heat warms you directly, just like the sun's rays. Convected heat is carried by warm air circulating in a room. With either solution, you will be comfortable and warm despite the temperature outside.

Radiant

Radiant heat allows you to remain comfortable by heating your floor thereby eliminating wasteful heat rising to the ceiling.
